Pip Taylor has won the Australian and Oceania Long Course Championships in the beautiful coastal village of Huskisson today. Held over the International Triathlon Union distance of a 3km Swim, 80km bike (83km in Huskisson due to road layout) and a 20km run Pip led out of the swim and rode solidly on the bike before moving away for a comfortable win on the run.

As a qualifier for the ITU World Long Course Championships to be held in October in Perth Australia, Pip picked up the first position on the Australian Team. She will decide later in the season whether to contest this event or to focus solely on the Ironman 70.3 World Championships in Clearwater in November.

Pip was pleased to win an Australian and Oceania title particularly while being in heavy training for the start of the USAseason.
